291 Entries Make for Strong Photo Contest

The results for this year’s photo contest hosted by the HHS Photo Club are in. Out of the 291 photos entered, seven images were selected for awards.

Allie Smith, a graduate of the Class of 2007 at HHS, had the challenging task of reducing the number down to seven winners.

Smith Earned her BFA in photography from Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2011. She currently resides in Tuscon, Arizona, where she works as a Digital Imaging Specialist at the Center for Creative Photography at the University of Arizona.

Smith commented that picking the winners was a very challenging job and still had many favorites beyond the seven selected. She added that Caitlyn Wilson, a senior at HHS and winner of Best in Show, has a very good eye, and that four of her pictures were in consideration when Smith began to narrow things down.
