The Hopkinton Golf Team played an amazing game against Dover-Sherborn on Monday, October 19. Unfortunately for the Hillers, the final score did not reflect their efforts, resulting in a loss by two strokes. This week, the Golf Team will compete in three matches, and if they can win two of the three, they will qualify for States. Their matches begin with a game against Bellingham and Wednesday, their second game is against Westwood.

Presently, the team has an impressive 8-8 record. Captains Sebastian Gutierrez and Jace McCarron have led their team through a wild season. “This season has been very tough for us this year with so many new faces on the team. I have a feeling that with a couple more years of experience and training under their belts, this now young team will be unstoppable,” says Captain Gutierrez. Another new face to the team this year is Co-Coach, Brian King. Gutierrez comments, “Coach Bliss and King make coming to practices and matches worthwhile every day. They are a pair of very dedicated coaches that will do anything for your team, and we all really appreciate the support.”
