Juliet Hulme pitched a no-hitter, as the girls softball team continued to hammer their TVL opponents. The Hillers made quick work of Medway yesterday, winning 16 to 0 in a mercy rule shortened five innings. Kate Welzel went 3 for 4, including a grand slam, driving in 7 on the day. Jenna Bogan also homered.
The team is now 12 and 0 in the TVL with Westwood coming to play today, Thursday, May 14th at 3:45.
In baseball, senior Greg Holler struggled on the mound, as the Hillers fell 12-4 against Medway. Cal Holland continued his strong season at the plate hitting a solo homer in the effort. The boys are now 5-8 overall and also face Westwood at home, today.
Another clash with the Mustangs, saw girls tennis travel to Medway. Senior Carola Segale and junior Emma Litavis got their first varsity start as #2 doubles, but fell in a tie-breaker. Yet, the rest of the girls cruised to a 4 to 1 victory, making it 13 straight in their unbeaten run. The girls head to Westwood this afternoon.
On the track, the Hillers visited Norton, where the boys lost 80 to 56, while the girls closed out their regular season with a 70 to 66 win and look to clinch the TVL title next Wednesday, in Westwood.
