Girls Tennis, Both Track Teams, & Boys Lax Win

Girls Tennis:
Hillers 5 @ Auburn 0

The girls tennis team continued to roll Monday, April 13th, sweeping all five matches in two sets against their second opponent Auburn. Number one Vanessa Prathab (Pra-TOB) won 6-1, 6-1, while #2 Zoe Komodromos and #3 Elisabeth Cooperman blanked their counterparts 6-0, 6-0.

Both doubles teams also won easily, with the Emerson sisters, Emerson and Laney, also serving up a 6-0, 6-0 shutout.

Girls Track:
Hillers 97 @ Westwood 39
Boys Track:
Hillers 106 @ Westwood 30

On the track, both boys and girls teams won in their first meet of the season at Westwood. The girls team racked up 97 points to the Wolverines 39, while the boys team cruised to an even easier 106 – 30 victory.

Nicole Belisle won the high hurdles, long jump, and triple jump.
Derek Winshman won the 400m hurdles, 110 high hurdles, and discus.
Mike Cuthbert won the 200m, with a new school record 22.3 seconds, which is also the fastest time recorded in the state so far.

 

Boys Lacrosse:
Hillers 14 – Bellingham 1

Also Monday, boys lacrosse won, battering Bellingham 14 to 1 in their first home game.

Sam Glover led the Hillers with four goals in the rout.  Will Lindon, Mitch Nagel, and Will Karpenski also notched their first varsity points in the league victory.

The team is now 4 and 1 and head to Medway Tuesday, April 14th, at 3:30 PM.
