Captain Pat Ryan led the Hopkinton boys lacrosse team with 3 goals and 3 assists in a 12 – 8 win against TVL rivals Ashland, Tuesday evening. Cam Finlayson added to the total, scoring two goals and racking up two assists. The Hillers controlled the contest with their ground game from start to finish, and a strong first half led to the anticipated win.
Hopkinton girls lacrosse also took on the Clockers, winning by 4 with the final score Hopkinton 10 Ashland 6. Julia Macchi led the way for the ladies, scoring 4 goals – three in the first half, as well as notching 3 assists. Also chipping in was freshman Maggie Dolan, who scored a hat-trick in the second half to ensure the victory. The girls’ record is now 1-1, after bouncing back from their opening loss against Dover Sherborn.
