The Hopkinton cheerleaders are looking at one of their strongest seasons ever! Some people think cheerleading isn’t a sport but these girls practice five days a week and even go to a separate class. They tumble, stunt, jump, dance and more! The cheerleaders practice more than 10 hours a week and also cheer at games. Come see these girls this Saturday to see what they’ve got!
At the beginning of the season the girls first competition in David Prouty they recieved second place, beating some of Hopkinton’s biggest rivals. After excelling at their last competition the girls had something to live up to. At the Tri Valley League Competition in Medway the girls recieved third place and qualified for Regionals. On top of this sucess they were awarded the Sportsmanship award. Coaches from other towns have congratulated the team on how much they have improved and grown as a team. Last saturday the girls were awarded first place at the North Attleboro competition. The Hiller Cheerleaders are looking to advance to States and possibly Nationals as all of the scores they have recieved have qualified.
