Starting on Monday, February 8, Hopkinton High School’s students will have a chance to win one of two gift cards to Dunkin Donuts through a scavenger hunt held by the Newspaper Club. The goal of the scavenger hunt is to create some hype surrounding the online newspaper. Unfortunately, many students do not know the newspaper exists or have never viewed it. The Newspaper Club wants to use the scavenger hunt as a way to motivate more students to view the photos, articles, videos, and other content on the site.

“My dad’s company once held a scavenger hunt in which the first person to submit all the correct answers won,” says Ashley DiFranza, Assistant Editor of the school newspaper. “The success of that scavenger hunt was the Newspaper Club’s inspiration to create a similar one of its own.”

The answers to the ten questions may be hidden in any of the content on hhspress. To participate in the scavenger hunt, submit the answers to [email protected]. The first two people to correctly answer all of the questions will each win a gift card to Dunkin Donuts. All Hopkinton High School students are allowed to enter, except those involved in Newspaper Club, Photo Club, or Journalism (the course). The Newspaper Club holds the final judgement rights.

Check back on February 8th for the list of questions in the scavenger hunt. Good luck!

Yes, there are both signs and a link. To find the paper from the high school’s website, first go to ‘Students’ and then to ‘School Newspaper’.

Is there a link on the school website to the paper? Are there signs up in the school? It takes a long time for people to look at things and not really see them, so push the newspaper in front of them continually.
