Open to all HHS students. Any student journalistic work is eligible, including work produced for class projects from any course, local newspapers, hhspress.org, personal work, etc. Students are invited to submit one or more article(s) that you’ve written in the past calendar year. Entries will be considered for awards in the three following categories:
– Print (any typical news article in text form)
– Media (video, photography, cartoon/artwork, etc.)
– Editorial / Opinion (an opinion piece—can include reviews)
All submissions to be emailed to [email protected] by MONDAY, 5/27. Copy/paste content into an email or just supply link for published work.
Winners will be selected by MetroWest Daily News Editor-in-chief Richard Lodge.
PRIZES:
Best Overall Work – $100
Best Print Work – $50
Best Media Work – $50
Best Editorial Work – $50
Rules:
- Articles must have been produced within the last calendar year
- Open to all HHS students
- An article can only win one category (e.g., you cannot win for both best editorial and best video)
- No late submissions
- Articles will be checked for plagiarism
