The Hiller’s girls tennis team topped Medfield Tuesday, May 5th, to improve their overall record to 9 and 0.
It was the second victory in four days for the ladies. The contest was decided by a three set thriller from the Emerson sisters, Sydney and Laney, who won 7-5, 5-7, and 6-4 to give Hopkinton the 3 matches to 2 win.
The victory already secured the team’s spot in the postseason tournament.
In lacrosse, both teams hosted, Ashland in TVL tilts.
Despite leading for most of the match, the girls finished with an 11 all draw against their neighbor rivals.
But the boys pounded the Clockers for the second time this season, this for a 15 - 5 final. Connor Murphy, Sam Glover, and Will Abbott all tallied four points apiece, with all of Abbott’s points being goals. The win gives the boys a 5 – 3 record in the league.
