Hillers Split with Norton on the Diamonds

Boys Baseball:
Hillers 9 vs. Norton 12
Girls Softball:
Hillers 6 vs. Norton 0

Hopkinton Baseball took on Norton, at home yesterday, Monday, May 4th.

Mike Messier got 3 RBIs and 3 stolen bases, along with Calvin Holland who went 3 for 3 at bat for the third straight game.

The Hillers were looking great early on having the lead 4-0, but Norton would not be denied.

Despite getting 5 runs in the 5th that was not enough to put Norton away, as Hopkinton lost 12-9.

Hopkinton goes on to have a record of 3-6.

In softball, the Hillers took on an undefeated Norton at home yesterday, as well.

Hopkinton’s Juliet Hulme pitched a 2 hit shutout, striking out 18 batters, tying her own school record.

Kayla Sullivan hit a two-run homerun and Hanna Engstrom went 3 for 4 at bat, scoring twice, and getting 2 RBI.

The Hillers excellent performance was enough to put the first loss in Norton’s record as the Hillers won 6-0.
